Kuopio Crisis Centre

Sudden and unexpected events can lead into the crisis situations. These can be, for example, accidents, death of someone close, violence in the family, illness, difficulties in the relationship, homelessness, difficulties relating to different cultures and other surprising changes in life. There are also events relating to different stages and phases of life that are all part of the every day life, but may cause a crisis situation.

There is a possibility for the customer to have 1-5 meetings for discussion by making an appointment first. The aim of the discussions is to find solutions and resources to get over the crisis situation. The discussions can take place one-to-one with the customer, together as a couple or in small groups.

When needed, the Crisis Centre will get an interpreter for a meeting, and some of the staff at the Crisis Centre is able to have discussions in English as well as in Finnish.
